The Great FV Campout is a staple event for the Fountain Valley community. Campers enjoy spending time outdoors and camping without leaving the city. This year, almost 600 campers participated on the weekend of August 3 & 4 a t the FV Sports Park.
Campers were treated to a diverse range of activities, from a thrilling reptile show to a water balloon toss, lawn games, archery, face painting, an obstacle course, crafts, and more. The highlight for many was the delicious In-N-Out dinner and the sweet S’mores for dessert.
This event is one of the many that make Fountain Valley special. Now in its 12th year, the Great FV Campout has become an annual tradition for many families.
The City of Fountain Valley would like to thank the Fountain Valley Community Foundation, CSUF Archery Club, FV Rotary Club, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Boys and Girls Club of Huntington Valley, and Scout Troops 412 and 567. The event is just not the same without these groups helping to provide volunteers and activities for the event.
