Four passionate competitors faced off in a spicy showdown at Facebook group Fountain Valley Moms' chili cookoff on August 27th! With pots bubbling and ladles in hand, these culinary contend-ers brought their A-game, each vying for the coveted title of chili champion.
Camaraderie came before competitive spirit, however; a testament to the power of online community gathering in the name of good food and great company.
Chili was served with potlucked sides such as chips, pastries, chili poppers, and more. Attendees of this family- friendly event sampled the goods and voted for their favorite chili. Ultimately the chili queen Ashley Leone took home the cookoff crown, with contestants Kena Dawes, Britnie Harris Thompson, and Judy Aoki claiming runner-up prizes.
