The Center at Founders Village was transformed into a magical, festive, holiday wonderland on Sunday, Dec. 3.
The Fountain Valley Schools Foundation’s third annual Festival of Trees attracted more than 120 guests who were treated to a room filled with themed and decorated trees.
As guests entered, they heard holiday music by the Fountain Valley High School Tri-M Music Honor Society. Following lunch catered by the Recess Room, the Fulton Middle School Choir led by Elena MacDonald delighted the crowd.
“The Festival of Trees encapsulates a cultural holiday season all under one roof,” said Foundation board member David Truong, owner of Mimi’s Jewelry.
Event chair Connie Wadsley said income from the event topped $18,000.
The success of the event will allow the Schools Foundation to continue to support, enhance and enrich the already exceptional education students receive in Fountain Valley School District, foundation officials said.
“We support, enhance and enrich the already exceptional education students receive in FVSD,” Wadsley added. “We proudly support after school choir, symphony, jazz, and rock bands, media centers, technology and so many other valuable programs. We greatly appreciate the community non-profits and community members who came out to support this fundraiser.”
