The city of Fountain Valley has implemented a 4/10 work schedule effective Aug. 12.

New City Hall hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.

City officials said the change is a six-month pilot program that will expand service hours to the public and provide greater workplace flexibility for employees.

Existing services such as Public Safety and Recreation & Community Services programming will not be impacted and will continue as normal, officials said. Code enforcement also will not be impacted and will continue to be offered Monday-Saturday. The 4/10 schedule emulates the already-established schedules of the City Yard, Police Department administration and Fire administration.
