ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY PARADE HIGHLIGHTS HB’S INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVITIES

The 121st annual Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade will once again serve as the highlight of Surf City’s 2025 Independence Day celebration.

The day begins with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Huntington Beach at Lake Park, along with the popular Surf City 5K Run. Festivities conclude with a firework show over the Huntington Beach Pier.

This year’s Teen Grand Marshal is surf star Bailey Turner, 16, a rising athlete on the USA Surf Team. Turner has already earned prestigious titles including Girls U18 National USA Champion and Women’s NSSA National Champion.

Frank Kramer, radio personality from “The Heidi & Frank Show” on KLOS, will serve as the Celebrity Grand Marshal. Kramer has entertained Los Angeles audiences for 28 years.

4TH OF JULY WEEKEND FESTIVITIES:

Surf City 5K Run Friday, July 4 / 7-10 a.m.

This family-friendly run kicks off the day’s events. For race and registration information, visit the Surf City 5K website.

Street closures begin at 5 a.m. on the following roads: PCH (Goldenwest to Beach Blvd.) Main Street (PCH to Gothard)

Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast Friday, July 4 / 7-10 a.m.

Held at Lake Park, the breakfast includes pancakes, sausage and a drink Tickets: $10 general admission; $7 for children under 12, active military, 5K runners

All proceeds benefi t Huntington Beach children in need.

121st Annual HB 4th of July Parade Friday, July 4 / Starts at 10 a.m.

The parade will feature more than 150 groups including elected officials, military veterans, public safety personnel, marching bands, and community groups.

Route: Begins at PCH and 9th St., travels up Main St. through downtown and ends just past Yorktown Reserved viewing at Main St. and PCH: $27 per person Televised on KABC Channel 7 starting at 10 a.m.

Live Entertainment at Pier Plaza Friday, July 4 / Noon - 9 p.m. Sunday, July 6 / Noon – 6 p.m.

Fireworks Over the Ocean Friday, July 4 / After dark

Presented by the Mayer Family Foundation, the fireworks show above the pier is free to the public. Premium viewing options and early entry are available for purchase.

Main Street Block Party Saturday, July 5 / Evening

Hosted by the Huntington Beach Downtown Business Improvement District and HB Propane, the party features live performances by The Ramsey Brothers & Redneck Rodeo. Local officials including Mayor Pat Burns and Mayor Pro Tem Casey McKeon will attend.

Parade viewing guidelines

Parade viewing areas may not be staked out prior to 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 3.

Areas marked “City of HB, no staking allowed” must remain clear for event production and/or public safety.

No materials used to reserve space may block sidewalks, streets or public access before 6 a.m. on July 4.

Any items placed before the designated times may be removed by city staff.

Items are left at the owner’s risk and do not guarantee reservation of the “staked out” area.

Only non-defacing materials may be used to mark off viewing spaces. Adhesive tape, including tape on trees, poles, or signs is prohibited.

All materials must be removed by 3 p.m. on Friday, July 4.
