Fountain Valley High School Dance Team held their annual Winter Show Sunday, Dec. 15, in their school’s gymnasium.
This show is one of the dance team’s main fundraising events and kicks off the holiday season. The Winter Show is organized by the Coach/Advisor and the Dance Boosters, with help from parent volunteers.
Along with a sneak peek of their upcoming team competition and soloist dances, spectators and special guests were treated to a variety of performances such as Dance Team’s recent Homecoming Assembly routine, Glow Show performance, Homecoming Football Game half-time routines, and holiday dances performed at Fountain Valley’s Tree Lighting event.
Coach/Advisor Kelela Batinga and Coach Ethan Exequiel proudly lead the Dance Team and choreographed the various routines. Special guest dancers included Vista View Middle School, who performed two holiday routines, which rounded out the program.
The team’s Winter Show provided guests with bake sales, spirit-wear sales, flower sales and various raffles to fundraise for the team’s upcoming dance competition season.
The raffles were a huge success with impressive baskets, which included donations from local restaurants such as Mozambique, Habit Burger and Grill and Maggiano’s Italian Restaurant, to name a few. Other prizes included jewelry baskets, movie tickets, coffee/ ice cream baskets and big-ticket Disney baskets that included entrance tickets to Disneyland.
This year’s Winter Show was a great turnout thanks to the support of Fountain Valley High School Administration in attendance, local business sponsors, and family and friends within the community.
