Miss Fountain Valley Orientation
An orientation for young ladies interested in competing in the Miss Fountain Valley 2025 Scholarship Competition is set for 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 23.
The competition is open to ages 14-27 who live, work, or go to school in FV and surrounding cities. The meeting will be held at Coastal Community Fellowship Church, 10460 Slater Ave., Fountain Valley. For info, email Sandi Licata at slicata@prodigy.net.
Volunteer of the Year
The FV Rotary Club will be holding the ninth Annual Ed Arnold Volunteer of the Year Service Awards at 6 p.m. Sept. 13. This year’s honoree is Larry Crandall.

Senior Luau Lunch
The Center at Founders Village will hold its annual Luau Lunch at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 26.

Historical Society Ice Cream Social
The FV Historical Society will hold its annual old-fashioned Ice Cream Social from 1-3 p.m. Aug. 23 at Heritage Park.
The summer celebration is open to the public. Sundaes cost $3, or pay $5 for a sundae, cookie, and lemonade (cash only). Proceeds benefit the Historical Society.
