Historical Society seeks artificial tree donations
The Fountain Valley Historical Society is looking for donations of artificial Christmas trees for this year’s Christmas in the Gazebo, set for Saturday, Dec. 13.
Trees of any size, color, or condition as well as garland, wreaths and other Christmas décor are being accepted. Pickup is available.
Christmas in the Gazebo is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heritage Park, next to the Fountain Valley Library. More information: Call (714) 3151403.
FVWC Annual Progressive Social is Dec. 12
The annual Fountain Valley Woman’s Club Annual Progressive Social is December 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $35 per person.
All are welcome! Three local holiday decorated homes are visited where food and drink are served. Many beautiful raffle baskets and gift card tree will be available. All monies raised are donated by the club to worthwhile causes such as scholarships, Heifer Intl, Bolsa Chica Conservancy, Robyne’s Nest, Reading Is Fundamental, Waymakers, Thomas House, and FV Historical Society.

Persons with Disabilities winter dance is Dec. 5
The Fountain Valley Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities will host a winter dance, themed “Jingle, Jingle, Jingle,” from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 at The Center at Founders Village, 17967 Bushard St.
The event is open to adults, ages 18 and older, and you do not need to be a Fountain Valley resident to attend. Cost is $1 per person, cash paid at the door. The evening will feature a deejay, dancing, refreshments, a raffle and more. No RSVP is necessary.

Parkinson’s support group to meet Dec. 4
A Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease Support Group will meet from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 at Orange Coast Medical Center.
The group offers those who are newly diagnosed, and under the age of 60, with education and a time to share and learn with others who have the unique diagnosis. The meeting is free. The medical center is at 18111 Brookhurst St., Fountain Valley.
