This month’s photo is of Fountain Valley residents Pauline Accetta and Christine Nakaue.
In February 2025, they flew from Los Angeles to Auckland, New Zealand. After spending a few days in Auckland, they started a two-week Holland America cruise which had multiple stops in New Zealand and Tasmania.
One of their stops included an animal rescue center where they were allowed to pet rescued kangaroos.
After a brief stop in Melbourne, Australia, their final stop was in Sydney, where they had several days to explore the city. They took a book cruise under the Sydney bridge, walked the botanical gardens and visited the Sydney Opera House.
