e’re the sum of our experiences in life. For most people, there is no greater influence than our mom. There’s a quiet power in the way mothers shape our lives. Not just through the big sacrifices, like the act of giving birth or giving up a career, but also in the countless small gestures that form the fabric of our days. From bedtime stories and scraped knees to homework help and school events, mothers are our first, best example of unconditional love.
As we grow into adulthood, it becomes clearer how deeply we’ve been influenced by their nurturing presence. It’s in the way we show up for others, how we handle challenges, and even how we speak to ourselves in moments of doubt.
A mother’s support, whether it came in the form of gentle encouragement or tough love, gives us the courage to dream, to stumble, and to try again. On May 11, we take a day to honor those who’ve walked beside us, behind us, and carried us to term. Here’s to the women who believed in us before we believed in ourselves. Give your mom a kiss and hug for all of the moments you’ve shared.
