The first time we participated in HB’s July 4th parade was ten years ago with the YMCA’s Adventure Guides. My big concern back then was whether Maggie & Molly’s little legs would make it all the way up Main Street.
This year, the four of us rode my old truck in the parade and had a blast.
Not only are our daughters now old enough to drive “Boomer” themselves, but the girls gave shout-outs to multiple people in the crowd on every block.
Such is the nature of our tight knit community that we know people everywhere we go.
The crowd gave shout-outs in return. The enthusiasm for our magazines by the audience was loud and frequent. But cheers don’t pay for printing and postage. Mailing a “free” magazine to 50,000 homes and businesses every month is costly. If you own a business in the city, please consider advertising. There’s no better way to reach your customers.
