Fountain Valley residents Marina Chan, Sean Heineman and their son Eric spent two weeks in Japan visiting Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Osaka, and Kyoto. They were in the hustle and bustle of Shibuya in Tokyo and then explored the quieter side of Japan at the base of Mt. Fuji.
They enjoyed fresh sushi and delicious beef cutlets as well as wagyu that melted in the mouth.
She says they walked the streets of Osaka’s Dotonbori district visiting shops, tasting takoyaki (street food) and ended their trip in Kyoto engulfing themselves in the nature and beauty of ancient shrines and temples.
Their most memorable part of the trip was visiting Arashiyama where they were surrounded by a bamboo forest.
