Senior Expo is June 17
The Center at Founders Village will host the city’s annual Senior Expo from 9:30 a.m. to noon on June 17.

FV Rotary Student Volunteer Scholarships Available
The Fountain Valley Rotary Charitable Association is taking applications for Student Volunteer Scholarships.
To qualify, students must be at least juniors in high school and have completed volunteer service in their school or community.

Chamber to Network at Night at Summerfest June 18
The Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold a Network at Night mix and mingle event from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 18 during the first night of this year’s Summerfest at the Fountain Valley Sports Park, 16400 Brookhurst St.
The event is free for chamber members and $5 for guests. Those attending must enter at the main gate and must register by June 16 by going to www.fvchamber.com
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School at First Chinese Baptist Church will take place June 22-26 at 16835 Brookhurst St., across from Mile Square Park. The theme is “An Irish Adventure through Psalm 23,” and the program is open to children ages 3 through sixth grade.
Activities run from 9 a.m. to noon each day and include songs, Bible stories, crafts, games and snacks. A Family Night is scheduled for June 26.

FV Library to show ‘Big Hero 6’
The Fountain Valley Library will present the Walt Disney Pictures’ animated movie “Big Hero 6” from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 25.
The family-friendly 2014 movie features the voices of Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, T.J. Miller, Jamie Chung, Maya Rudolph and Damon Wayans Jr. Refreshments will be provided.

One County, One Book Film Screening
The Fountain Valley Library is hosting a special One County, One Book film screening on Wednesday, June 17 from 4-6pm. The film is American Fiction (2023) which is an Oscar-winning comedy-drama directed by Cord Jefferson that stars Jeffrey Wright. It’s based on One County, One Book author Percival Everett’s 2001 novel Erasure. The film is rated R.
The screening will be held at the library.
Recommended for adults. No registration is required.
