WILD ABOUT ART!

In March, the Fountain Valley School District hosted its 22nd annual District Art Show. This beloved community event brought together students, families and staff to celebrate the artistic talents of preschool through eighth-grade students.

With more than 3,000 attendees, this year’s show was the most dynamic yet, filling the district board room and front parking lot with creativity, music and interactive experiences.

The theme of this year’s show, “Wild About Art,” came to life through a colorful display of student artwork showcased floor to ceiling in the board room. Hundreds of young artists were honored with certificates in recognition of their creativity and hard work. From bold paintings and intricate sculptures to imaginative mixed-media pieces, every corner of the exhibit reflected the artistic spirit thriving in the schools.

Outside the gallery, the excitement continued with a variety of interactive art stations where students and families engaged in hands-on activities guided by dedicated teachers and staff — from Shrinky art keychains to animal masks and safari hats. These stations offered a fun and educational experience for artists of all ages.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, Fountain Valley’s three middle school choirs took the stage with standout performances, followed by a “Wicked”- inspired set from the middle school show choir. Their talent and enthusiasm captivated the audience, making music an integral part of the celebration.

Guests also enjoyed offerings from local food trucks, making it easy to grab a bite while exploring the event.

Two photo booths provided the perfect opportunity for families and friends to capture memories, ensuring everyone left with a keepsake from the wild event.

The success of the 22nd annual District Art Show is a testament to the dedication of the district’s students, staff, PTAs, PTOs and community members who come together each year to support and celebrate the arts. Fountain Valley School District looks forward to continuing this tradition of creativity and expression for years to come.
