Body Four passionate competitors faced off in a spicy showdown at Facebook group Fountain Valley Moms' chili cookoff on August 27th! With pots bubbling and ladles in hand, these culinary contend-ers brought their A-game, each vying for the coveted title of chili champion.

CITY FORGES AHEAD ON UNIVERSALLY ACCESSIBLE PLAYGROUND PROJECT

Body The city and the Fountain Valley Community Foundation are collaborating on the first Universally Accessible Playground (UAP) and recreation area in Fountain Valley.

New development update

Body Current development activity in the city includes the construction of a 4,000-square-foot restaurant building to be located at the southwest corner of Bushard Street and Warner Avenue in the Plavan Plaza shopping center.

Body The Friends of the Fountain Valley Library held their first author event since COVID on Saturday, Aug. 26. More than 40 guests enjoyed a presentation by Michelle Gable, a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of six novels, including “A Paris Apartment.”

FV REGIONAL HOSPITAL CHILD LIFE THERAPIST EARNS COMPANY’S TOP HONOR

Body Fountain Valley Regional Hospital’s Adrienne Feilden was recently awarded the Tenet Healthcare Hall of Fame Award for her role as a child life therapist, and for being the ultimate patient advocate for pediatric and pediatric ICU patients and their families.
