►Tax assistance volunteers needed

The Center at Founders Village Senior & Community Center is looking for people interested in becoming tax assistance volunteers. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest volunteer-based free tax assistance and preparation service.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY TREE LIGHTING LIGHTS UP THE HOLIDAY SEASON

The City of Fountain Valley kicked off the holiday season with its annual Tree Lighting ceremony on Dec. 8, hosted by FV Recreation and Community Services. Community members ventured through the Recreation Center and Sports Park, which had been newly transformed into a winter-themed wonderland.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY’S JYNENE JOHNSON

The Greater Huntington Beach Interfaith Council (GHIBC) was formed in 1996 and continues to foster unity and understanding among different faith traditions in the community. Fountain Valley resident Jynene Johnson is the current president and a six-year member of the executive board.
